Rides may also be cancelled due to bad weather, and this will generally be shown on the calendar entry by 90 minutes before ride start time.<\/i><\/h6>\n<h3>Tuesday &#8211; 0930 to 1330<\/h3>\n<p>35-50 miles + Cafe Stop<\/p>\n<h3>Wednesday &#8211; 0930 to 1230<\/h3>\n<p>&lt; 30 miles + Cafe Stop<\/p>\n<p>These rides are suitable for people new to group cycling<\/p>\n<h3>Thursday &#8211; 0930 to 1500<\/h3>\n<p>40-60 miles + Cafe and\/or Pub Lunch Stop (see calendar entry)<\/p>\n<h3>Sunday &#8211; 0930 to 1330<\/h3>\n<p>35-50 miles + Cafe Stop<\/p>\n<h3>Sunday &#8211; 0830 to 1200 early bird ride<\/h3>\n<p>Around 35 miles + Cafe Stop<\/p>\n<h3>Start Point<\/h3>\n<p>Most rides start at Hart Leisure Centre (HLC) Hitches Lane, Fleet, GU51 5HS.<\/p>\n<h6>If you bring a car to the HLC car park, please register your number plate in reception on arrival, to avoid parking fines.<\/h6>\n<p>Some rides may start at a remote location \u2013 please check the Venue (Start point) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetcycling.org.uk\/wp65\/calendars\/\">Calendars<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Cost Per Participant<\/h3>\n<p>Free \u2013 but we encourage regular riders to become Cycling UK members &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetcycling.org.uk\/wp65\/join\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">join here<\/a>. Guest riders can participate on 3 rides before they are required to join Cycling UK as dictated by the Cycling UK rules.<\/p>\n<h3>Suitable For<\/h3>\n<p>Experienced cyclists who are used to cycling in a group at a reasonable touring pace. Open to all Cycling UK members from across the UK.<br \/>\nCyclists new to riding in a group are encouraged to join us on a Wednesday for a gentle ride &#8211; details are on the <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetcycling.org.uk\/wp65\/calendars\/\">Calendars<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Cycling UK Member Group &#8211; club rides led by an experienced ride leader<\/h3>\n<p>These cycle rides are moderate-going rides.\u00a0 They will follow quiet country lanes and traffic free routes where possible but there may be some main roads to link between quieter roads.\u00a0 <strong>We will never leave anyone behind.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Cycle Ride Detail<\/h3>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Total Ride Time: <\/span><\/strong>3-6 hours including stops (varies for each ride)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Ride Distance<\/strong><\/span>: 20 to 60 miles to local garden centres or cafes and, on Thursdays, pubs for lunch.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Suitable for<\/span>:<\/strong> confident cyclists \u2013 advice will be given to those not used to cycling in a group.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Conditions<\/span>:<\/strong> Mostly quiet country lanes with some B or A roads for short distances. Occasional cycle tracks where ride leader wants to avoid a busy road.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Bike Type<\/strong><\/span>: Roadworthy and suitable for road cycling.<\/li>\n<\/li>\n<h3>What you need<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>You will need a roadworthy bike of course.\u00a0You should have a spare inner tube, tyre levers, puncture repair kit and a pump as a minimum.<\/li>\n<li>Wearing a helmet is advisable for adults and mandatory for\u00a0all children. Under Cycling UK rules we cannot mandate helmets as such, but a leader may recuse themself from leading the ride if a rider shows up without a helmet &#8211; more information on this is available under the heading &#8220;Helmets&#8221; on the <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetcycling.org.uk\/wp65\/join\/\">Join<\/a> page. <\/li>\n<li>No special cycling clothing is required. Just dress for the weather conditions. Bright\/contrasting colours are advised. For distances over 20 miles, padded cycling shorts are advised.<\/li>\n<li>Money to buy a drink and snack at the cafe stop or bring your own. Electrolyte and\/or energy mix drinks are advised for the longer rides, but this is a personal choice.<\/li>\n<li>If you are not yet a member of Cycling UK, please bring a completed <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetcycling.org.uk\/wp65\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/guest-and-parental-consent.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guest rider form<\/a> to save time at the start.<\/li>\n<li>If you need advice on anything cycling just ask a ride leader or anyone in a Fleet Cycling jersey on the ride. We are a knowledgeable bunch!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Notes For Parents<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.<\/li>\n<li>For unaccompanied children 13-16 undertaking their first ride of this type with us, a parent or guardian must beforehand contact the organiser to discuss whether their child can achieve the level required. The child must then bring to the ride a <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetcycling.org.uk\/wp65\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/guest-and-parental-consent.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guest rider consent form<\/a>\u00a0signed by the parent or guardian.<\/li>\n<li>Proof of age may be requested.<\/li>\n<li>All participants ride at their own risk and the serviceability of
